Tilden’s Earth Day

Sponsored by Blue Mountain Wildlife, and Tilden Township

Dear Volunteers,

We deeply appreciate your participation in the Fifth Annual Tilden Earth Day cleanup.  Because of your hard work and dedication, we rid the township and the Kernsville Dam area one 20 yd Roll Off of trash. We would like to thank Nester’s Sanitation for supplying the Roll Off at no charge to the Township.  You can view photo of the day at

We had  volunteers from Tilden, Hamburg, and Reading cleaning up trash along the roads.  Due to the large amount of trash that was deposited in the township, we were only able to clean up 60% of the total area.  Plus, we are already seeing trash deposited in areas that were cleaned.   We are working with the local police to try to combat this pollution of our earth.  If you have any suggestions on how to reduce or stop the littering, please let us know.

Thank you for caring about our earth and our township.
