“The board also:
• Heard Haus report the results of a recent survey on what the township should do with its part-time police force if the recently introduced House Bill 1228 would pass.
Among other things, the measure would impose a fee-for-service on municipalities for patrol services provided by state police.
Haus said 71 respondents would increase the part-time department to full time if the bill passes, and 96 would keep it part time if the bill does not pass.
The lowest responses, eight and 21, were for the force to regionalize and for Tilden to go solely with state police.”
